The NCMA Orange County Chapter’s Annual Education Symposium is our annual day-long educational, networking, and professional development event, hosted at Brandman University in Orange, CA.
The symposium is geared towards educating and providing best practices and guiding principles to Contract Management and related professionals. Each year the event features a wide-range of courses taught by Government and industry professionals featuring beginner and intermediate/advanced level classes, industry-focused courses, and special topics and soft skills seminars. Each workshop is highlighted by a Keynote Address presented by a leader in the contracting community, followed by a mid-day luncheon and social hour at the end of the Workshop where contracting professionals can network and meet fellow NCMA members in an informal setting.
This program has been developed to benefit all disciplines in the field of government and commercial acquisition, such as contract administrators and managers, subcontract administrators and buyers, financial managers, marketing managers, attorneys and company managers.
Training of this type is recognized as being of significant assistance in meeting the government’s needs and has been qualified as meeting the requirements of the Government Employees Training Act. Education expenses (including enrollment and fees and travel costs) are deductible if they improve or maintain professional skills (Treas. Reg. 1.162.5).
Attendance at the symposium provides certification candidates (and re-certification candidates) training credit.
