The Orange County Chapter offers our members the opportunity to learn more about the contracting profession through three primary means: 1) our Annual Educational Symposium (AES), 2) helping our members get certified in one of NCMA’s five nationally recognized certifications and 3) by providing learning opportunities for our members through seminars, webinars and NCMA’s National Education Seminars (NES).

Annual Educational Symposium:

The NCMA Orange County Chapter Annual Educational Symposium is a day-long educational, networking, and professional development event hosted at Brandman University in Orange, CA.  The Annual Educational Symposium features a wide-range of courses taught by Government and Industry professionals featuring classes for all knowledge levels, industry-focused courses, and special topics and soft skills seminars. Each symposium is highlighted by a Keynote Address presented by a leader in the contracting community, followed by a mid-day luncheon and social hour at the end of the workshop where contracting professionals can network and meet fellow NCMA members in an informal setting.

If you’re interested in learning more about the courses offered please check out our Annual Educational Symposium page.

NCMA’s certification programs have become the national standard in our profession. An NCMA certification tells current and prospective employers that you have mastered the portions of the Contract Management Body of Knowledge (CMBOK) covered by that certification.  NCMA certifications help you differentiate yourself from your peers, demonstrate your commitment to professional development and may help you with a promotion or help you in your job search.  NCMA currently offers five professional certifications:

The Boston Chapter offers training in a variety of forums including our monthly meetings, Women’s Forum events and other events held throughout the year.  In addition to training offered at the monthly meetings, we have also offered NCMA’s National Education Seminars to our members.

In addition to training put on by the Boston Chapter, the National NCMA organization also offers training webinars on a variety of topics.  NCMA’s webinars are live, 90-minute online educational events combining real-time presentation with telephone conferencing. Each month, NCMA presents timely topics drawn from both the government and commercial contracting arenas, given by subject-matter experts.
